1D IV or 5D III?

I'm going to upgrade my 1DIII as it's hardly being used as I'm finding I just reach for my 1D IV most of the time.

Question is do I replace it with another 1D IV, same familiar controls etc, or do I go for a 5D III full frame?

Not really in the same ball park in my opinion, think I would opt for the 5d to give you full frame when you need it.

It's a bit of a no-brainer really... You've already got the 1DMKIV so get the 5DMKIII

I have a friend who has both (she's a professional wildlife photographer) and by her own admission, she uses the 5DMKIII much more than her 1DMKIV

Honestly.....you gear freaks. Interesting that she uses it for wildlife too.

Maybe I'll go that way in a year or so's time.......although being a professional I doubt whether I will be able to afford it.:shake:

I was torn between the two cameras so I bribed Janet with a coffee so that I could pick her brains... 24 hours later and I'd sold my 5DMKII, my 7D and my 100-400mm to pay for one!

The difference over the 5DMKII is huge though Jerry. It would certainly be a worthwhile investment.
