1D Mk III CF or SDHC ?

At focus on Monday I was daft enough to buy a 1D3 refurb body.

It has a few wonky pixels but not too many to make my heart sink. Generally I'm a happy bunny.

But here's the question.

I have loads of CF cards but I'd like to keep those for my 40 and 5D2, as SDHC is cheap as chips I was thinking of buying a few 8gb Sandisk SDHC cards.

Does the 1D3 handle them just as well as CF or should I stick to CF cards.

I was thinking of a couple of these

When I had a 1D I got a big SD card and left that in the camera the whole time as a back up and used CF cards as normal. That way if a card corrupts, or as I've done a few times you go out without any CF cards you can still get the shot.
 
I don't think there's any benefits over the formats, but the situations (as posted above), it might be worth having both cards in.

I only use CF on mine though
 
CF is much faster, and 1D needs it. Think of SDHC as a backup. A good 8GB CF card shouldn't cost over £30 if you shop around the net. There is no need to buy top of the range, unless you will be holding on the shutter button permanently.

That camera is fantastic kit. I am sure you will love it, even if you don't go near sport events (like me)

10x write on a CF is the same as 10x write on a SD.

The fastest CF cards hit 100MB/s, which is over twice the speed of the fastest SDHC cards. You pay for the priviledge but if you want speed above all else, CF is quicker.

CF is also far more robust than SDHC cards although if you take care of them this shouldn't really be an issue.
