1d mk2 not reading CF cards?

Any-0ne heard of any reason/issues with the 1d mk2 not reading cf cards? Works fine on SD cards, but is there an upper limit on what size SD card it will run on?

Oh its not my camera but will have use of over the weekend, but it will not work with my extreme 3's 1gb or 4gb cf cards, and nor my Ultra 2gb cf card.
 
Thanks Dave, should have said already checked for bent pins, there dosnt appear to be any.

Any-one for any more? any-one got any ideas on service prices, or reconmedations for repair centers.
 
The 1dmkII will happily use 8gb SDHC cards (if using the latest firmware) Id recommend sending the body in to Lehmanns or one of the other Canon service centres, if the CF card slot if borked you dont want the SD slot to go on you in the middle of a shoot do you.
 
Thanks Darryn its running current firmware so that be fine with a card i ordered for my eventual 1D upgrade.

Shall give them call to see what they recon not interested in buying to find a huge repair bill looming.
