1D MkII N mirror box flap loose

My trusty old MkIIN cried enough recently, just after I'd upgraded to a Mk3, strangely enough!

Any way, here is a pic of the offending flap. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and, if so, is it worth repairing?

Actually looks like one of the shutter blades to me. No idea how much a new shutter would cost unfortunately

Looks like one of the shutter blades to me too.....figure on around £325 all in.

Very unlucky Philip, I'd agree with the above posts sure looks like a Shutter blade and it's not going to be cheap. I'd guess around the £300 mark so there's really only you can decide if it's a worthwhile repair.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I was afraid it was going to be expensive! Pity, as the body is in mint condition. I may well have it repaired and keep it as a second backup.
