I'm thinking of getting the 1D MKII but want to know if its any better at iso1600 than my 50D.

Anyone in the forum owns both and have real life samples?

Also is it still faster at focusing than 50D considering its a 6 year old technology?

Also forgot to ask, is the MKII still serviceable by Canon?

AF is night and day better on any 1 series to a 50D. ISO wont be much different.
 
I've had both bodies, although not at the same time. From memory the 1DII high ISO is worse/noisier than that of the 50D.
 
Noise on my 1D Mark 2 is = to that on my 40D if that helps.
