1D3 + 35L question

A great cam + great lens should equal great images.

I do not have images handy to upload but, personally, have been more than happy by the quality of images produced by this combination. I'm sure you will find others similarly happy.

We shall see.

Sounds like some microadjust solves most people's problem with this combination, at worst.

My view with such threads is that you get one or two guys build up their own petty annoyances into a frenzy. Chances are you will not hear from the thousands of people who have the 1D3+35L and just go out and shoot with it. If this was a systematic problem you would have had threads all over the web by now given how long both items have been around.

I'm sure if you do a search you will find some great images with this combination.
 
I know its not the 35L, but I had a wee problem with my 50L 1.2 not being sharp at the focus point (although spot on with my 5D), applied a little micro adjustment (+15 actually) and all was tack sharp even wide open. I asked Canon Elstree if this was a large shift and they said not really, just depends how far your camera and lenses have been set in relation to the calibration lens and bodies used in the manufacturing facilities :thumbs:

i tend to shoot portraits and studio fashion but sadly the studio i use has closed down so not shot any for a while whilst i look for a new studio to use..
