1Dmk3 fixed after repair?

I am trying to find a good used 1Dmk3. I have a question about the ones that were returned to Canon for fixing the AF issues.

Did the work Canon did totally fix the problems. If I buy one that has been in to Canon for work and/or testing can I be sure that it has no AF issues or any of the other problems that Canon recalled the 1D for?

i would assume that if it did go back for one of the recalls it had all work done for all recalls up to that point

I meant is there a general consensus that the work Canon did fixed the issues. Or did some people send them back and they still had issues?

would canon have called it a recall if they hadnt identified the issue 100% and had a fix for it?

I think most people had no issues but still sent them back.

So if I get one that is in the effected serieal number range but it has been back to Canon then I can be pretty sure it's ok now?

@ Neil - I wasn't nocking your answer I am just trying to get an idea of if the worked really did fix the issues.

It should be fine, and if you are unsure if it has been recalled you can always call Canon and give them the serial number to check.
