Snoop you are supposed to set your camera up the way you want it and then it copies your settings onto the SD card.
I do this for first dance at weddings because they are the furthest from my "normal" settings and saves me delving around in menus changing synch settings.

Okies Snoop, I have to say I don't get why you would want to use anyone else's settings! They are not the one taking the pic in the lighting conditions you are in with the subject where they are.
I'm afraid I'm rather old fashioned and prefer to make those decisions myself, then tell the camera what to do! lol

I see your point but some are probably using Canons settings
My 8lbs of matter is working overtime trying to get things looking right
lol it took me about three months to get to the point where I could boss it about. I still have an occasional bout of underexposure in dull conditions which I am still working on but other than that I'm kind of where I need to be with it.

I only really use that function incase my camera needs reset or something.
I've got my camera set up how I like it, for my style of shooting, I'm sure other people have come up with the same settings but likewise my settings won't work for everyone.
I'd have thought that most people using 1D series cameras would be at the stage where they know how they want their images to look and what settings are needed on the camera to achieve that.
