That looks awesome! The second is a bit dark...

Are you having to crop much to get those, or are you using any teleconverters? Nice idea to protect yourself from glancing up

What lens / camera are you using? DX or FX?

How did you focus?

Canon 550d 400mm F5.6
Used autofocus then fine tuned in liveview at 100%.
Cropped, sharpened, levels adjust in Canon DPP.

Just viewed the 2nd one on a better monitor and yes it is a bit dark (especially as its supposed to be the sun lol) I was try ing to pick up any faint sunspots etc.

Must have photo's the same sun. Spots are in the same place.

Do the sun spots move or does the sun rotate, or is the movement in our journey around the sun?

The Sun does rotate - once every 24.5 days
