2.4 Macbook or 2ghz Macbook Pro

I have been offered a 17" Macbook Pro Brand new for a good price.
At the present moment I have a Macbook 2.4ghz
160gb Hard drive

The Macbook pro has a 17" screen
2ghz
2gb ram I think
120ish Solid state hard drive?This is better?

Is there any advantage apart from the bigger screen
Disadvantage wise will it be much slower.
and I can put 4gb ram in my macbook unlike the 2.0ghz pro?
Anything else?
I use it for mostly websurfing,mail, and editing photos
Also will the Pro support CS4 Ok?

What you currently have will do what you say you need it for, unless you "wants it" badly I'd spend the money on camera goodness instead (mmm, lenses .. )

If it's a 2Ghz 17" it'll be the original Core Duo like the one I have, I'd stick with the 15" 2.4 and get an external screen if you want more real estate.

personally I'd max out the memory and add the biggest HDD it will support to your macbook.

you sure its a solid state hard drive?
if it is then i wouldnt bother.. its never easy to upgrade something like that, and if you want a bigger screen plug your macbook into your tv

Thanks guys.
I was going to blow my money on it.
Was get one for 550.
but then I had a read and noticed that the ram and other bits couldn't be upgraded easily.

I will just stick with my trusty macbook get some ram and upgrade the hard drive at some point.
It runs cs4 and everything else on it the now pretty much.
Suppose it just seemed like a good deal.
