Nikon D60 or Canon 450D? Got the chance to by either for him, can't decide. Both 2nd hand, obviously. I have seen both and they look mint.

Spec wise i am nott 100% up on that but have seen pics produced by the D60 and quite impressed. Isn't it the model before the D3000?
 
I'm having a similar problem myself mate, only my purchase is for me Lol.
 
I'm pretty sure the D60 is the model before the D3000, but the D3000 is the lower model, if ya get me. The D60 is still in production basically. I've been given advice, and everyone always says its the aesthetics that matter. Dunno if your hands are a similar size to your brothers, but if it feels good in your hand, it should feel good in his.
 
But, is the D60 or even the D80 a better camera than the Canon 450?
 
Well in terms of technical details, i'd say that the Canon is just up tops compared to the D60, but its really not all this technical malarky that makes a good camera.
The D80 and the 450d seem to be fairly balanced in terms of tech.
