Iv had one usb port broken for a while so I thought, Sod it I`ll be ok with just one working, So after like 2 Years, this one has now snapped n broke off!

So question is, can I buy 2 new ones and fit them? And does anyone know how I can go about it!

depends where they are.. if its on a laptop theyll be soldered to the board. if its the front ports on a desktop then it should be replacable.

or just buy an add in card, PCMCIA for laptop.

You could get something like this

Another option is to get a USB hub,
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CC-001-AK&groupid=701&catid=49&subcat=423

Which will have the advantage that you can put the hub on your desk and not have to dive under the desk when you want to plug stuff in.

Just bare in mind some hubs have issues if you connect lots of stuff that drawers power through USB. You can fix this issue by using a hub which plugs into the mains (the one I've posted can with an optinal adaptor).

Or if there is a spare slot on the back and a place on the motherboard you can fit a usb pci board into the motherboard. Can get then with2 usb ports or 4 external usb ports and 1 internal.Just plug it in and you computer should find them if not you should get a driver disc with the pci usb board.

As Neil says, stick a PCI card in, much quicker and easier.

I've got a 4 port USB 2.0 thing that's been sitting in a box ever since I bought it! It's similar to the one in the first link KCLeblanc posted.

Yours for a fiver if you want it?

(sorry mods - I'm now thinking this might be against the rules? in which case I'll send a pm)

Or if you have any spare bays at the front and a spare USB header on the motherboard, you could buy a card reader if you dont have one already. Some have USB ports included if you prefer to have ports at the front?
