Getting Work published is more important than tailoring images to please a Military judging panel made up of c-units (apologies to the civilian guest judges: our 'trade' is very much 'if the face fits' these days...)
Well, we all just sat through the whole lot and had a jolly good laugh...
I can't remember having seen such mind-bendingly mediocre (military) images in one place for a long time.
As my boss Ian says "good RAF Photography ...because that's as good as it gets!"
Best one was by my mate Laura Bibby, but the broken bike-chain by Andy Stevens and Jenny Blunden's parade shot have just induced me to rip them apart on their FB pages ... (we're all mates - I've worked with every one of those apart from the SAC who did the formal portrait - which would have classed as a 'fail' at Cosford due to the shocking lighting btw...).
