2013 , your film shot of the year.

[robhooley167]

The rules are simple, post your one favourite shot of the year.

[robhooley167]

I'll start us off.

New York, mid July. Empire State Building through the Manhattan Bridge
Fuji GW690 on Acros 100

[robhooley167]

A good start there T

[Cg_Girl]

Thank you muchly rob and likewise :-D

[RaglanSurf]

Has to be this one, it's the tweaked version of my idiot behind the lens challenge shot

[Jao]

Olympic Stadium, Berlin, August 2013, Nikon F100, Cosina 19-35mm@19mm with Circular Polariser, Fujicolor Reala 100 (5 year OOD), V500 Scan, reminds me of my splendid and hot summer in Charlottenburg!

[Mr Bump]

For me this one.
One of my first proper film shots in a chapel early in the year.
It was my first attempt at staging a picture and thinking of the outcome.
My wife just looking into space.

[Nguss]

Didn't shoot as much film as I would have liked this year, but still possibly this

[Jao]

Nguss, that is stunning!

[ChrisR]

Some really nice pics on here already. For a disposable camera, Nick's shot is amazing; Adrian's stadium shot is an extraordinary assembalge of colours and shapes. And I like the others too! I'll have to have a rummage... I may be gone some time!

[simon ess]

What a terrific thread.

This is my favourite of the year.

[Jao]

Simon, that has all the feel of an Ansel Adams! What a great image, this thread is thread is showcasing some remarkable film work!

[stevelmx5]

This is probably mine;

[Nguss]

I didn't realise I had missed so many of these first time round. Brilliant stuff!

[Andysnap]

Cracking idea for a thread Rob....a great way to end the year and already a series of great shots.

I think this is mine. It is one of those rare shots that came out exactly as I saw it in my mind. Taken on the Fuji GW690 (which for all its brilliance didn't really suit my shooting style so had to go) on Kodak Ektar 100.

[medwaygreen]

I think this may have to be my selection.

[toadstool]

It's a toss up between 2... both different formats so I'm saying it counts

Portra 400 on Zorki 4k

Polaroid

[AshleyC]

Very hard to choose but probably this one from a portrait session i did at the start of the year. I hadnt really got the hang of medium format people up until now but this set really came out well.

[wickerman]

I don't take many colour shots but I quite like this one...

[strax]

What a great thread with some cracking images. Heres my choice, I had two shots in mind but this one just shades it for me.

Kilchurn Castle, Loch Awe taken on a Bronica ETRS with 35mm panorama back using Agfa Vista.

[ChrisR]

Some great shots everyone... Robert, that Loch Awe shot just brings back the feeling from the one time I've been there, wonderful!

[ChrisR]

I'm not certain, but I think I like the moody mistiness of this shot the best. It was my shot for the second week of the 2013 52 (after a suggested crop from the other 52ers):

Tri-X taken with the charity shop Pentax MX, probably the 50mm f/1.7 lens, processed by AG.

[steveo_mcg]

All of the shots in this thread are fantastic.

I'd say this is mine, from way back in January.

Velvia Sunset Behind The Castle by steveo_mcg, on Flickr

Shot on my ikonta folder.

[abdoujaparov]

Of the 12 I've had dev'ed so far this year, it's easily this.

[TheBigYin]

I've just realised that I haven't actually taken a single shot on film this year yet.

Bear with me - I'm having a couple of days in the Lakes between Commercialmass and the New Year, so I'll try and make room in the Rucsack for the Perkeo and a couple of rolls of something or other...

[Woodsy]

Some outstanding work in here! I especially like @strax and @Nguss photos. Cracking stuff!

Not been out much with the camera this year; well no where near as much as I'd like anyway. I'd have to say that this one is my favourite colour photo. I do have a fav b&w as well, but hey

[TheBigYin]

Sorry - I was so upset at myself earlier for not actually getting out and using the cameras, I forgot to mention what a great idea this was @robhooley167 - and that I also think that a link to this thread would make the perfect "closing post" for the 2013 Film Showcase thread - that way it'll probably sweep up all the shots from early on in the year that were missed because we hadn't started the showcase.

[simon ess]

That's a great idea

[Steve]

wow...great thread.

All great images, but if forced to choose one, then @Jao photo of the stadium is just stunningly beautiful.

[skysh4rk]

I shot a lot of rolls of film this year, but I suppose this would have to be my best single shot of 2013:

[Nikon_Nick]

Ooh, great thread. Think I might have to get off of my a*** and go get some developing done!

[Solo man]

Haven't been doing film that long so, this is probably my best image.......

[joxby]

well, as usual, I've shot hardly sod all, choosing a favourite out of next to nothin was easy...lol

[RaglanSurf]

@joxby Quality not quantity John, that's a cracking shot.

[srichards]

Probably this one from the Llandudno pub crawl er film meet...

Scan-131010-0023 by srichgtr, on Flickr

First time out with a new film camera in ages and it just turned out exactly as I had envisaged.

[dinorock]

not fair I've only just got back into film so this is the best of 24 exposures........
