I was rather hoping for a fuller description, my train knowledge is small but doesn’t stop me enjoying the experience and the character,very photogenic. Flying Scotsman is heading to Swanage in October, although the “Gin Train” in September is appealing

Yep - good take on the theme. As for a photo - it's underexposed for a daylight shot.

I was struggling with the contrast on a bright day and needing to shoot into the light which wasn't really resolved in Lightroom. Learning point when composing the picture.

I wasn't sure if the houses were a distraction from the telephone line concept, but maybe it adds to the theme?

I am not very good at combining the topic with the technique. In fact, I am not very good at remembering to use the technique. So I have made a special outing to try out some B&W pictures, which is not something that I would normally work with. So interesting to be looking for subjects and opportunities that lend themselves to B&W
