Been offered a 2nd hand 450D with all this for £405:

Canon EOS450D body.
Canon EFS 18-55mm auto focus stabilised lens with Canon UV Protector filter fitted.
Lens cap.
EOS strap.
8GB Class 6 SDHC card.
Two original Canon batteries.
Battery charger and mains cord.

Is it woth £405? Guy says he has taken under 500 pics. Looks in mint condition.

Well tbh thats a jumped up description because all the items that are in red are included in the package from new anyway so really don't count towards any extra value. I mean, lens cap, come on! This description is a bit like selling a car and listing it with wheels, steering wheel, seats etc....

The 18-55 EF-S IS is even included as a kit sometimes.

I sold my 450D on here, no lens, but with a battery grip, flash diffusers and a remote, all seperately and it all went for around 300 ish. I would say £405 is a little too high... offer him/her 320 and say deal. Yes I know 450s are good but we have to remember it's now two generations behind, which always knocks off value :thumbs:
 
actually on seconds thought you are probably right. I sold mine quite cheaply to get rid of it quickly... 385 ehh that's the highest of high that i would go for it though.
 
I wouldn't want to pay more than around £350.oo

Have a look around and see what a mint second hand body is and also do the same for the 18-55 kit lens. I've seen the lens being offered for £50 before
 
Can't fing a good 450D for a low price anywhere!
 
IMHO all these are worth between £360 and £380 depending on condition but not over £400 but again something is worth what is worth to you.

For a bit over £400 you could get a 40D + lens if you are patient

Those must bump up the price if the camera alone is worth say £360? Surely the £405 covers all of that don't you think?
 
I got a 450D on here for £350
almost all the above,
camera kit and all that was in the box,
dummies book
8GB sandisk extreme sd card
2x 4GB sandisk extreme 3 cards
3rd party battery grip
2 non OEM batteries in addition to the canon battery that came with the camera.

I thought it was very good value hence the reason I jumped at the chance of a 2nd camera
