Im not so good at giving advice but a tip I soon picked up on here was to look out for your backgrounds. An uncluttered background behind the dog and you would have a cracking photo
Boxer's lovely, but the cluttered background does distract.
Either check your background before clicking or open your aperture wide open to blur the background.
