Hi, well done for posting your first pics

Im not so good at giving advice but a tip I soon picked up on here was to look out for your backgrounds. An uncluttered background behind the dog and you would have a cracking photo

Boxer's lovely, but the cluttered background does distract.
Either check your background before clicking or open your aperture wide open to blur the background.

Parrotts nice to, but you chopped his feet off.
