3 Different lenses to choose from

Sigma 17-35mm f2.8-4.0 EX DG HSM

Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4.5 DC HSM

Nikon 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED DX

i currently use the Nikon AF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G IF ED as a walkabout one for motorsports

would any of the above be a better option that i currenty have?

i am guessing the 17-35 wont be upto alot for a walkabout? but is it worth having "in your bag" so to speak?

I've toyed with the Nikon 18-70 and that is one super lens, especially for the price.

Can't comment on the sigma lenses but these were all on the Nikon 18-70

i was thinking better light lower down but less range, stuck between the two i think lol

I use the sigma 17 - 70mm lens and have not had any probs with it, being f2.8 at 17mm It gives just that extra bit of light to play with. I am just waiting to order the Nikon as my other half wants one for her D40. If you look at discovery airborne on the motorsport section image 2 was taken with the 17 - 70.

i have the 17-70mm sigma and its a cracking lens and a very good upgrade from the kit lens, The 17-70mm is on my camera 90% of the time
