32 bit Lightroom on 64 bit OS?

Does anyone know if it's possible to install the 32 bit version of LR on 64 bit Win 7? I can't remember seeing any option when installing my current version, as it seems to have detected 64 bit Win 7 and installed that version only.

I notice that PS installs both versions by default - the problem is I'm looking to use a few plugins that aren't compatible with 64 bit LR or PS, but can work around this by using the 32 bit version of PS when required...

TIA

Hopefully this thread will help you

Thanks, just have to find where it unpacks the files to and that should be me sorted - thought I was going to have to go back to 32 bit again... would have been a real bummer, as LR and PS really fly in 64 bit...

Don't use the auto-installer. Drill down into the disc folders and you'll find the installers for both 32 and 64bit separately.

A bit of a carry on, but I got it eventually - the setup32.exe didn't exist anywhere on my system, so can only assume that the original installer deletes the temporary files after setup is complete.

Tried uniextract to extract the files from the LR exe file, but uniextract wouldn't install in Win 7 64bit - installed Microsoft VM and XP Mode then installed uniextract in XP. This then failed to extract from the LR exe file with errors, but did tell me that it was a 7-zip file. Installed 7-zip then successfully extracted the LR exe file to it's own folder and both 32 and 64 bit installers were available.... success. :D
