32GB Sandisk Extreme on 5D2. Anyone using?

Any reason why you're going with the 32gb?
I tend to use lots of smaller cards to ensure I don't lose ALL my images if the card does happen to get corrupted

I tend to use Sandisk cards, and have never had one go corrupt, as I make a habit of formatting the card in the camera whenever it goes back in there, instead of simply deleting the files from the PC. :)

Just I will be flying from stage to stage, so the convenience, plus it works out slightly cheaper than 2 16GB. Always use Sandisk cards for my cameras, and also format in camera before use to ensure least risk.

I already have 2x 16GB and 1x8. Need 32 more to make sure I have spare. Have chance to dump every night, but shooting Raw on 5d2 eats memory. Wife is second shooting on a 40D and will be getting a cpl of Kingston 16GB for her, as she is more scenic, whilst I will be shooting bands, which is what the client wants so am investing.

Just having enough memory as prefer that to a field backup device. Luckily staying off site so laptop and backup drive will be located there and nightly dumping of all images will take place.

Where is cheapest place at min for Sandisk memory, thinking play or Amazon usually come up trumps, but anyone know of any offers?

I've been using a pair of Transcend 32GB 133X cards for over 18 months in a mixture of cameras including 50D, 1D3, 7D, 5D2 and never yet had a problem.

Mine came from 7dayshop and were £54 each when I bought them. The last time I looked the price had gone up quite a bit. If you don't need high write (or read) speeds then I think the Transcend cards offer very fair value for money.

I also have a 16GB Transcend SDHC card in my 1D3 and I filled that yesterday at Biggin Hill. Again, faultless performance from the card. I do have a Sandisk 8GB 30MB/s card, which was bundled with my 50D, but when buying cards individually I prefer the value offered by Transcend. If I needed speed over capacity then I'd get Sandisk.
