Just ordered one from kerso, make me drool with your examples till it arrives!!!
 
This will be next lens! Almost bought it today but decided to get 50mm 1.4 instead. Basically I bottled out :) Wonder how long I can last! :) Anyway, just subscribing to this thread. Keen to see replies.
 
I'd love one of these, currently have the f/2 which I think is stunning, I'd probably cream my pants if I got hold of the f1.4L lol!!

You would, no questions! :lol: There aren't enough words to describe the 35L!
 
i now have it in my hands and the first few test shots have made me cream
 
I love mine so much I've got a friend for it on the way. The 85mm 1.2. G.A.S will hopefully be over for a bit as in the last 6 weeks I've got the 300 f4 the 35 1.2 and now the 85. Scary when I think about it.
 
I was afraid you'd say that Joe! Go on, show us some of your favourite test shots and see my wallet weep :-)

my god i have not seen a lens this sharp wide open

it's ridiculous!


it feels really nice shooting at a focal length that looks the same as your own eye, when you bring the camera up you see what you were looking at in the same frame

it's rather refreshing

I so want one of these lenses. Last one of the prime L's I really want.

Just in the middle of selling some stuff and I'll have the money for it. How much was it from kerso?
 
Gorgeous shots!!! Why can't i get my 50mm 1.4 in focus like that? :(

BTW - isn't 50mm standard view rather than 35mm - on a ff camera that is?
 
Just make sure you get a ND filter. I need one now as in good light wide open it wants a shutter speed greater than 1/8000 of a second.

i guess that is the difference of about £800?

depending on who you ask 35mm or 50mm is standard focal length

when i look down the lens it feels like 35mm is
 
For me 35mm on crop is the "standard" focal length if you want to call it that, which does equate to 50mm FF (and on ff Canon refer to the 35mm as wide!). As posted, it's what I see before I look through the view finder. That's why I love my Canon 35mm f/2 which I got used for only £150. It's such a great little lens, love it to bits! Will certainly tide me over until I can afford the L!

one i got recently with 35 1.4. This lens is awsome
 
Lovely sharp images. Just picked up a 200mm f2.8 mkII L of the forums and loving the prime quality, only problem is I want more. I'd like a 24mm f1.4 II L next :)
