35mm canon camera needed

Canon 50e might be a good one to consider as a mid range film SLR - seem to be plenty on Ebay for £40 or less if you're lucky. If you want something cheaper, simpler and possibly easier to use, consider a Canon 500n, still have one myself and it was a good camera in its time. You can get these for less than £10 on Ebay.
 
Depending on the amount you want to spend

Canon eos 5 about £50.00 on ebay
Canon eos 3 about £100.00 on ebay
Canon eos 600 about £15.00-£25.00 you will need the cable release grip though check it has one as they are difficult to get

My choice would be the eos 3 a fantastic camera :thumbs:
 
These things are everywhere and pretty cheap.

If you get an eos it'll use the same lenses as a Canon digital DSLR. Can you use the for sale section here? I'm selling a film camera at the moment (there's a couple of people interested so I'm not touting for a buyer here) and it's pretty typical, cheap and perfectly good, and there are often film SLR's for sale here.

Or you could try the dreaded ebay or even better... ffordes...

I like the eos 100 and there's one there for £29. One good thing about the 100 is it's quiet and good for sneaky shooting.

Thanks for this link. I think I need a camera tht takes FD lens that has the aperture control on it.

I will have to ask the Tutor.

I had already seen your item for sale and looks really good. So if I dont need the FD type I will check out your link.

I dont understand why you'd have to use fd lenses, since you can control the aperture on the newer SLR's, its just a jog wheel rather than a ring on the lens.

Have to agree, my 25 year old EOS620 takes EF lenses. One of the first in the EOS range, and still a good camera too.

You can buy an adapter to fit FD lenses to a eos mount or m42 screw thread lenses these you can now get for next to nothing but if my memory serves it does increase focal length though just another option.
