35mm Negative Scanner

I need to get a 35mm Slide Scanner, anyone have any ideas, knowing that it will be a trade off between, image reproduction, speed, quality. Also what is the best image type to use.

Canon /Epson seems the norm V300/500/700 depending on budget

Plustek, minolta or Nikon in ascending order of price and quality. I have the lowest (well lowest that's actually worth buying) in the range, Plustek 7200 and I scan at 2400dpi, or 16Mp equivalent thereabouts. Prices start at £100 secondhand and go up rapidly from there.
