Hi all - New to the forum.

Just wondering if there is any use for thousands of 35mm slides (mainly Kodachrome).

My father in law recently passed away and has left literally a small room full!

Seems a shame to put them in a skip.

Please also look at my post in the classifieds.

Regards

what are they of...you can get them batched scanned at around 30p each..
we did around 300 of our family

couldnt find your classifieds...did a search on your name

If they are personal to the family then I would keep them or digitise them for future generations. Other scenes may be of interest to a local museum or history group.

Get a small slide viewer and have a look at some - you might find there's some really good photographs and it might be good to enlarge one in you pops in laws memory.

At the very least find a local camera club that will no doubt put them to good use if you don't want them.

I had the same recently, I sorted them and kept the ones with people or other special interest, that meant very few left - about 30 that's all, the rest went in the skip.

Lots of local museums are always on the look out for photographs of social history.

Do a Google on "social history photograph collections uk" and try and find somewhere local
