If i wanted to buy a 35mm SLR lens, would it work on my Digital SLR camera if i had the right converter for it to make it compatible??

I suppose it depends on what camera you have/buy

Sony will work with the older Minolta AF lens (Will not take the older minolta mf lens do not know if there is an adaptor)

Canon will work with the EF range (NOT with ther older FD range don't think there is an adaptor)

Nikon will work with nearly all there older lens, but best sticking to the AIs and AF ones

Pentax is backward compatale with all its older AF and MF lens mounts.

Olympus you would need an adaptor mount to use there older MF lens.

Can't think of any others at the moment

I believe it can be done, and by definition if you have the 'right convertor to make it compatible' then it'll work. Might help to post some more specifics about which lens, which camera, which adaptor, etc.

well im looking on ebay and in the description on the items i look at they say Olympus FIT 35mm lens's, so if i got a adapter they would work on my D-SLR Camera?

Olympus OM 35mm cameras.

1. Vivitar Series 1 Zoom and Macro lens. 70-210mm f3.5 67mm filter thread.

2. Mitakon Zoom 85-300mm f5.6

3. Wide Angle Hoya lens 28mm f2.8

Will they work on my E-410 with an adapter?

I some how don't think that these lenses will work on the E-410, as its a 3/4 system. I had problems with my old sigma lenses for my 35mm film camera, these lenses weren't chipped to work with digital so didn't autofocus. I assume you might be able to manually focus these lenses, but I don't they will work fully on your DSLR even with an adapter.

Yeah i knew i would have to do manual focus and probably do everything manually, but putting that problem aside they should work with an adapter do you think?

yes.
