3rd party batteries in d700

Just got a d700 and bought some 3rd party en el3e batteries..which work fine but every now and then, the camera flashes a 25% full battery icon for 10 seconds or so, during which the camera is unusable.

The manual says its the symbol for a 3rd party battery being identified... any ideas on how to turn this off? It happen to anyone else?

Battery info is good via menus.

EDIT: Only occurs when third party battery grip is attached with third party battery.. ok when AA tray used.

EDIT: Appears firmware update to 1.02 will fix bug. Will try tomorrow.

Hope you've fixed the problem with the firmware upgrade. I use 2 genuine and 6 3rd party batteries in two 3rd party grips in my Canon 7D and 5D2 and don't have any problems with any of the grips or batteries. I got the latest firmware when I bought the cameras so have never had to upgrade at all, hope it works for you.
