3RD Party battery grip for d300 still increase fps?

I would be grateful if someone could confirm if a third party grip for the D300 will increase the FPS shooting to 8 as the nikon branded one will.

You do know that with the grips it only works at 8fps with double A batteries or the EL4-A battery which requires the BL-3 cap and a different charger?

The EL4-A and charger are not a cheap option.

The meike one does with the aa battery and the d3 battery

Yep, the Meike one does, but as above, you need the ENEL4 battery, the charger to go with it and a BL-3 for the grip.. All those new will set you back over £400.

Or you can use AA batteries in the supplied grip tray without the BL-3, but you get through batteries quicker than a fat bloke through cake.

That looks just the ticket! Anyone recommend a cheaper than nikon grip off ebay compatible with this?
