3rd party battery grips

So I've been looking at batteries/grips for those times when a battery just won't last long enough and started looking at 3rd party grips such as,

It would be for my 60d and not used massively so can't justify the canon one. But thought the flexibility of using AA batteries when needed would be good.

Anyone have any experience of 3rd party grips or batteries?

What's your thoughts?
 
Had several and never had a problem. Never use AA batteries in them tho.
 
Get yourself a Meike one, I've had a number of theirs and never had a bad one yet. Less than 50% of Canons silly priced ones.
 
Ah fair enough. Tbh I would only use them as a last resort I guess. I'll take a look at the meike ones. Cheers
