4/3 bad or not?!

Hello,
Are 4/3 Olympus that noisy?

I have always been told to steer clear as they are terrible above iso400, but read a review on the E520 today and they say yes it is noisy above 800iso but its a very tight grain type of noise that doesnt show through when printing?

Last year i decided to instead of taking the D300 to my best mate wedding I would use nothing but the Olympus E-420, here a few shot's from that day.

Olympus make excellent camera's agree they are noiser at high ISO than what on offer from Canon & Nikon ect, but images at 1600iso is more than useable.

4/3rds has more noise ISO for ISO, at least in theory. Most people seem to find it acceptable, and this technology is improving all the time.

More depth of field f/number for f/number, but lower f/number lenses (at least in theory). More telephoto reach.

If you shoot low light all the time, buy a D700, otherwise Olympus are comparable to anything else up to around 800ISO... don't listen to the harbringers of doom regarding Olympus; they'll have you thinking that every image will turn out looking like a three year old's nursery painting.
