Hi,
Don't know if anyone can help! It was working but I can't seem to get all the focus points to operate. By all I mean whichever one/group get focus as opposed to the individual selected points.
I can get individual points by using the 'joystick' option but can't get all the points to operate. I have tried to follow the instructions by pressing the top right AF selection button but nothing appears in the LCD as the book says. I can get no points at all, it still focuses but no beep and not AF lights!
Help/guidance appreaciated.

Cheers,

Duncan

If you press the AF button on top and then turn the dial in front that should run through all individually then all together as the last option.

What Strangways said should work providing you are in one of the shooting modes that allows you to select your focus point.

Failing that one of your focus points might be 'on' something it can't see so is 'hunting' ?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that it needs to be in a shooting mode, not manual.

depends how its set up.

I have it so the focussing is on the joystick. Push in to select centre, move it to select outer one. Select all from the top right hand button which also zooms picture when reviewing images

Are you in AI servo mode or AI focus mode by accident?

As has been said, press the AF button and turn the dial, allows you to choose "all" focal points. Don't forget, it your in AF Servo, you might not get the beep / red focal point lighting up etc - you will def get this in the one shot mode.

Hope this helps

Oh what a plonker you are Rodney! Thanks and apologies I had it in AI..........How many times can you read a book and not see the writing!!

Cheers,

Duncan
