40D (new to me - woohoo!!!)

Well I got my new 40D from Alan via the TP classifieds today - I love it!

I have only had a little play so far but here is a couple of shots right out the camera (with my sigma 105mm)...

Yeh, it's a great camera! Went the same way as you, 350d to 40d. Love it!

Yep its a big step up from my little 350, lots to play with to get the most out of it but feels nice'n solid!

I went 350D, 40D, 5D2, sold the 40D regretted it and bought another 40D

Love the 5d2 but missed the extra reach of the 40D.

They are a superb camera.

Have you tried the max burst of fps yet - blew me away the first I used it compared to my 300D

Congrats 40D was/is my first DSLR and half a year on I realise now that I made a very wise choice. It's a great solid workhorse of a camera

Can't see me changing cameras until it dies....love the fact that it's not so high on the megapixel either so processing on the pc is easier......

I bought a 40D just before Christmas.

I had a Nikon D300s last year which I sold for a GF1 as I thought that was the way forward, and regretted selling the DSLR. I had previously handled a 50D prior to buying the D300s and should have bought that but didn't :bonk:

I love the 40D I just need to get shot of my GF1 so I can afford a lens or two to go on it, I've only got a 50mm for it presently!

I went last year for the first time and enjoyed it.

Looking at trying to go either Monday or Tuesday at the moment - think Sunday will be very busy
