430EX II triggers

I am looking at getting some cheap Yongnuo triggers so I can get my 430EX II flash off-camera. Can someone point me to what I need.

I have had a look at the Yongnuo RF-602. Are those ok for what I want to do?

PS - I have noted the slight limitations of using the Yongnuo triggers and am ok with that.

You've answered your own question - a set of RF602 will do the job....

Graham are you the guy someone told me about who sells these triggers? If so how much would a set of RF602s cost?

Thanks Jim, I had found that one, but Graham's were cheaper and just my luck to be sold out.

I did PM him yesterday, but he did say that he wouldn't be having any more, plus I would have preferred to purchase off a forum member.

I think deal extreme do them if you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks or so for them to ship from HK.

If you're buying them off ebay make sure and ask the seller what you're getting for your money. I've noticed at least one UK seller that takes the cables, batteries etc out the packets and then sells them as "extras"

The one from the ebay link says it contains:

1 x YongNuo RF-602 Canon shoe Transmitter.
1 x YongNuo RF-602 universal fit Receiver/Trigger.
1 x YongNuo Strobe Sync/Trigger Cable: Coiled red aluminium screwlock Rx to mono 3.5mm, includes a 3.5mm to 6.35mm (1/4") adapter. Stretched length is 1 metre.
1 x YongNuo CR2 3V Lithium battery (for the transmitter).
2 x Duracall Alkaline AAA 1.5V batteries (for the receiver/trigger).
Manual.

Is that all that is needed then?

Yes, the cable that is included is for use with studio lights. There is another cable with the N3? connection that can be usd to remotely fire your camera.

As Graham has pointed out, some sellers include this 'N3' cable with the triggers and some charge extra. If you do buy the extra cable make sure it is suitable for a 1D.

If it were me I'd buy from dealexreme, 602's from Deal Extreme here and get the cable included, but then I'm a tight git!
