Yes
I tried this the other day, set it to -2 0 +2 but as soon as I change (press up or down or the shoot button) it reset it back to 0 again

Any help welcome

Are you pressing the <Set> button after selecting the EV compensation that you want?

You mean, auto exposure bracketing, AEB? You dont need to press Set for it to work (i think this annoying feature of the 400D was changed for the 450D)

Have you tried actually taking the three photos? Holding the shutter button half way will make the screen display 0ev, because it will take that shot first. If you just hold the shutter button all the way it will take the three shots at 0, -2 and +2

Yes aeb sorry!

No I haven't, as I got confused as soon as I set it and moved off that setting the lines under where I set went back to 0... So that is normal?

Select AEB from the menu. Use the Left/Right buttonsto set the desired AEB amount. Press the SET button to confirm. Exit the menu, the AEB setting will be display in the LCD monitor. Take three pictures. The exposure settings for the three shots will be in the sequence: standard exposure, decreased exposure, and increased exposure.

In Single drive mode, the shutter button must be pressed three times. In Continuous drive mode, if the shutter release button is held down, the three bracketed shots will be taken continuously and then the camera will stop shooting. In Self Timer drive modes, the three bracketed shots will be taken after a 10-sec or 2-sec delay.

Oooops.....read one thing and answered a different question :bonk:
