450D Rain Accesories Question

I've got a 450D and load of accessories. However, I want to start going out more in the bad weather to do wet and rainy shots. Of course, that means have a bag and rain cover.

At the moment I have a Flipside 300. Nice bag, but not totally sure if it's good enough to survive a good rain shower. I.e if am outside in the hills for a few hours will it be enough to prevent rain from getting inside.

If not, can I get a rain cover for this bag, or should I upgrade to a Flipside 400 which does have a rain cover with it?

I have the kit lens, 70-200 f4 lens and Tokina 11-16 MM lens. I would like a rain cover for this camera and lens and one that is reusable. Also have to allow filters to be attached to the lens such as Lee filter.

Thanks.

Get one of THESE Works a treat on my Lowepro fastpack 250!

polythene sandwich bags with an elastic band round the lens cap. theyre cheap 100% waterproof and you can still use the cameras switches and buttons through them.

Won't the camera sweat in it though? Condensation?

As long as the camera and bag are the same temp, then no, condensation will not be a problem. I use one quite frequently and have no problems.

Tesco give away free waterproof covers when you buy your groceries :D

If you feel like spending money then Op/tech do a decent raincover - about a fiver for two
