450d to trade against 20d

been offered a straight swap body for body a 450 for a 20 what do you think.
yes I know the pixel count is lower but at least in my mind it is a dammed mopre waterproof than the 450.This was offered to me at the locla camera shop and comes with a 3 mnth guarantee

I wouldn't bother. Can't see how is it 'more water-proof'? A bit more chunky is about the only advantage I've had thought. Strictly a side-grade.

Whilst the 20D has some advantages, technology wise the 450D is about two generations ahead of the 20D.

Tough one...I have a 350D which has server me well, however a mate offered me his 20D and I havn't used the 350D since....much more robust, IQ better (IMO), AF more acurate, just a better feel. The 350D is now my backup. Do you know the shutter count of the 20D?...Oh and the shutter is noisy in comparison so if you are shooting wildlife the 20D does act as scarecrow.

i love my 20D, fantastic for fast moving subjects. high ISO handling is surprisingly good also for an older body.

a 20D went for £160 in the classifieds, I'd have thought your 450D would be worth more than that?
