450D V's 10/20/30D

Looking for a bit of comparison between the cannon 450D against the 10/20/30D. Been watching the prices in the for sale section and 450D's are going for approx £300 but the theres 10D + grip for £150 upto the 30D for £300.

What one of the 10/20D's etc be classed as an upgrade from the 450D

I had a 10d before the 450d, apart from the better quality body and the info screen you would gain nothing and lose 6mp, liveview, better processor, stunning 3" screen amongst other things.. now I took some great shot with the 10d but would never consider going back to one from the 450d.. the 10d is still only 4000/1 so you wouldnt even benefit from the 8000/1 shutter the 20d+ offers.

I cannot fully answer your Q but I can say the 10d is NOT classed as an upgrade to the 450d.

thanks for that m8, i was thinking that it would need to be at least the 40 or the 50D.

but just wanted to check with others that have used them
