Hi,
It is another lovely sunny winters day and decided to take a break from work for 30-45 mins or so (WFH has it's perks). Wanted to try and get some shots of the birds in the tree in the garden and around the feeders, but it is very close to a large hedge.
I used a Sigma 50-500mm (non-OS) at f/6.3 but due to the light, still couldn't quite get the pictures as sharp as I would have light (can't cut the hedge down, the neighbours wouldn't like it ).
I was just wondering, do you think shooting with my Nikon 70-300VR @ f/5.6 and then cropping would give me better results?
The Bigma shutter speed was around 1/100-1/125, so trying to get shots of the fast moving Blue/Great Tits, Sparrows, Goldfinch etc. isn't that successful for me
Any advice greatly received.
Cheers
Steve
