500px Custom Domains

[Deleted member 49549]

Hi all,

with my flickr pro account coming to an end, i thought i'd take a look around to see what else is out there and found 500px.

Has anybody set up 500px on a custom domain?

Yes, but I badly need to sort out the collections again and give it some focus (tbh, half of it is sat on my HD waiting to be uploaded). I'm not sure if I'll renew the 500px account when it comes up, I much prefer the social aspects on Flickr. It depends what you want from it.

Yes, had mine set up with my domain for a while. Easy enough to do, but you're limited to using their themes with the only real customisation being your logo.

No problem if thats all you need - the themes are quite nice. Mines been a temporary home whilst I get around to building something myself. Its quick and easy to set up a decent looking portfolio.

Not sure which direction to go myself atm. Currently i have a web page, google plus, 500px, flickr....
and want to simplify.

I did it. If I can then it must be easy I registered with Godaddy as they have a full tutorial on setting it up to your 500px portfolio. I like the layouts as well, having not built a website since 1999 I needed something easy and this was just that.
