50d can it be repaired

went out yesterday first time in ages and got the camera out and the main dial has broken well it turns but nothing happens it just rotates (without the little clicks you could feel as it turned ) and nothing happens in camera anyone had this happen and if so if it repairable please :shrug:

I can't see any reason why not - it is just a small knob that's broken, not the mainborad or sensor. Give canon a call or even try a local camera repair workshop
