50D Remote Control and Spare Batteries

For my 450D I bought 3x Phottix batteries and they were highly recommended but I can't find any for the 50D. Is there a 'recommended make' for the 50D? I don't want to pay £30 each for Canon batteries which are identical.

Also, regarding a remote control... What are my options? I'm after a Canon remote control.
 
The batteries are BP-511's same as 20 / 30 & 40D (plus others) Hahnel get a good right up, (which are also Jessops batteries), to be honest, if you can find a genuine Canon one for £30, I would seriously be tempted to buy that.

I bought 4 BP-511's off Kerso for £7 each and they work just fine.

For my 40D I'm using a cheap wireless remote from Amazon :) works fine am sure there is an alternative for the 50D never had a miss fire and works from a stupid range.
 
I get batteries for my 30D / 50D from 7dayshop.co.uk, they last longer than the Canon batteries and are £5.99 each :)

If you want a Canon remote, sell a kidney or get a phottix one from ebay :D
