50mm Bluespot

Hi,

I was using my 50mm today outside and I have just looked through my pictures. Most of them have what look like blue lens flare in the middle of them? Could this be because of the massive amounts of snow reflecting light around and strange angles?

This one highlights the issue quite well:

Could it be a drop of water on the front of your lens ?

I cannot see anything on there now, but it is present in pictures from this morning then it is there from lunchtime pictures as well so the water will have left?

Could it be a coating problem? Or a snow glare issue? Any way to test?
