50mm f/1.4D AF Nikkor

Hi

Will the 50mm f/1.4D AF Nikkor work with a nikon D80.

I have seen one for sale for £190 used and want to know if it will autofocus on the D80, also is the price above okay with a 1 year g'tee included.

According to this it will work OK. (Usual disclaimer!!)

Grays of Westminster have a couple for sale 2nd hand - one described as EXC+ for £179 and one MINT- for £189 so £190 with a years warranty doesn't seem unreasonable...

Thanks, those are the one I have seen.

Thinking of selling my 50mm f1.8 to a mate and buying one of those. Just not sure if it is worth the extra money.

I have the g - which is by all accounts pretty similar and I have found it to be quite a weapon in my low light arsenal - and if you go FX at some point it becomes an indoor ninja

Yes it will work and fully autofocus - your D80 has an inbuilt focus motor.
