550d shutter q?

Hi all, need some help as the manual is sometimes not very helpful.

My 550d I have been experimenting with some long exposure night shots with some really fantastic results.

I recently purchased a wireless remote and tripod to make them better. Having set everything up I realised I could set the canon to bulb, ISO 100 and press once on the remote to open the shutter, leave as long as I like, then press again to stop and all is fine.

Something I did along the line changed and I can't think what but when I went to shoot it took 3 shots one after another, all came out with a different style. The first was dark, 2nd was standard and 3RD a little lighter. I have no bracketing feature so why is this happening. I must have changed something but can't think what. It's driving me mad

Sounds very much like bracketing to me, try resetting to factory default

Absolutely brilliant. Little long winded to understand. Tells you how to set AEB but nowhere does it say you can't do this in manual mode as it only seems to allow me to set it up in AV mode. Either way I must have fat fingers and changed it by mistake. Thanks for clearing it up though!
