580 mk1 or mk11

Can anyone advise me as to the differences between the mk1 and mk2 Canon 580 flash units? Having never owned a flash of any discription I have nothing to compare with and wondering is the mk2 worth the extra £80.00 in second hand price?

I depends what it's for. Mk1s are great and get the job done well. I have 2x. Mk2 added weathersealing, so if you were to shoot outdoors with one TODAY, that could be important.

If you are looking into more serious strobist shooting and have the funds go for the new speedlites with radio control. I am not a big fan of additional triggers.
