580 mkII help...

Hi,
I got a Canon 580 mkII today and was wondering if i could sit it on its stand away from the camera (50D) and sync it so it flashes when i take a shot? any suggestions?

If you use an Canon STE-2 (available separately) it's possible to fire a number of 580EX2's at the same time... The 50d doesn't have an in-built facility to fire it though... You'd need a 7d for that I believe...
