5d mk 1 battery

im waiting for delivery of a used 5d mk1, and i was looking at the type of battery that it takes. am i right in thinking that its the same as the 30d
and also looking on e bay for a shutter release cable . that looks like the one for the 30d will fit as well
is this correct. hope it is, that will save me a few quid

i got 3 bats for the 30d and with the 5d one it will be 4
should be more than enough even taking both bodys out
and got 2 cables as well
