5d Mk1 Black pics ?? ?? ??

If I take a shot with my 5d Mk1 as soon as I switch it on, I quite often get a black shot, ie as if the shutter never opened. this only happens with the first shot after waking from sleep, or after switching it on.

Anybody experienced anything similar ?

I've done that as well.

Checking the exif for the first vs the second, the settings are the same.

could it be the mirror problem?
As canon has said that if there is a mirror problem, could get it fix for free.

I've had that happen twice with my D3. Seemingly no reason for it, just a black frame and then back to normal.
