i've just bought a canon 5d mkii. i want to be able to see what mode i'm on,shots left, iso etc on the rear lcd panel,my 450d did this as normal, how do i set the 5dii to do this?

the 450D iirc doesnt have a top screen. Hence using the 5DII all the info is on th top rather the rear!

ISO, metering, speed etc are shown in the back screen by pushing in the joystick button.

You wont get the number of shots though you get that n the top screen.

:D

RTFM,

Press the info button once and it'll show what you want, number of shots bottom right, shutter speed top left, followed by fstop, ISO etc...

Shooting mode information and Quick control screen

Pressing the INFO button in shooting mode displays an overview of the current camera configuration. The EOS 5D Mark II provides two different info displays; Normal display and Shooting function display. From there a press of the multi-controller takes you into the Quick control screen. Here you navigate using the multi-selector and press the SET button to access and change a setting. Alternatively you can turn the control dial while the 'cursor' is on a setting.

You can optionally enable the SET button to enter the Quick control screen directly via C.Fn.IV-3; this is most useful if the multi-controller has been configured to select the AF point directly (C.Fn.III-3).
