I would be very very happy if they do something.... Only annoying thing with the 5DMKIII so far for me....

I have no issue with the black Af points. I've been shooting planes and birds in flight and had no trouble tracking or knowing which AF point I am using. Likewise, shooting in dark conditions is not a problem AFAIAC. In fact, I prefer the AF points not to light up as I always found it distracting. I hope the update allows for on /off and not just permanently on!

It makes no difference to me either but having the ability to switch 'em on and off could be handy I guess.
 
So far this is the only gripe I can find with my 5D3. It's not actually been a major problem for me but it would be nice to have the illuminating focus point the 5D2 had.
 
Doesn't bother me, but yeh hope it's an on/off change if they update it on firmware
