5d mkll with windows 7

Hi has anyone used a 5d mkll software on a windows 7, buying a new laptop. If I install the software that came with the camera, will the eos utility work. Or do I need to download from canon thanks. :bonk:

i've only got eos utility on Windows 7 64 bit and it works fine - i did install the latest update from the Canon site though.... you don't need to install the programs from the dvd, you just need it in the drive if i recall correctly.

I have used Digital Photo Professional on Windows 7 in the past and that works fine too.

Thanks I looked on canon for windows 7 to see if there was a update for EOS utility but never found

If you go on their site and choose your camera, then software version - w7, it should bring up all the software uodates for your body with w7.
